Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff returned to the big screen with 'Baaghi 4', aiming for a strong comeback. However, despite high expectations and solid pre-release buzz, the film opened to an average response at the box office on its first day.

Box office collection and occupancy

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, 'Baaghi 4' earned around Rs 12 crore net in India on Day 1. The film recorded an overall 28.32% Hindi occupancy, with morning shows at 22.16% and night shows peaking at 37.23%.

Advance bookings

The film surprised many with its pre-release momentum, raking in nearly Rs 5 crore gross (without block seats) in advance bookings. With blocked seats included, the figure rose to Rs 7.75 crore, marking the best advance booking for a Tiger starrer in recent times.

Projected earnings

Based on advance sales, 'Baaghi 4 was' projected to open in the Rs 12–13 crore net range. However, some trade analysts expressed caution due to inflated block booking numbers. Realistically, the film’s opening could fall between Rs 9–11 crore net.

Competition at the box office

The film’s performance was significantly impacted by its clash with Hollywood horror film 'The Conjuring: Last Rites'. The James Wan-produced film stormed Indian theatres with a record-breaking Rs 18 crore net debut, grossing approximately Rs 21 crore across all languages on Day 1.
With this, it became the biggest Hollywood horror opener ever in India, overshadowing 'Baaghi 4' in the process.

Tiger’s career milestone

Despite the average start, 'Baaghi 4' is just a few crores away from entering Tiger’s Top 10 highest-grossing films list. At present, 'Heropanti 2' holds the 10th spot with a lifetime collection of Rs 21.5 crore.

Directed by A. Harsha, the film features a powerful ensemble cast including Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, Shreyas Talpade, Saurabh Sachdeva, Upendra Limaye, and Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir.
