In today’s unpredictable box office climate, where even star-driven spectacles are struggling to sustain beyond a couple of weeks, Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara has emerged as one of the biggest success stories of 2025. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has not only managed to hold its own but also crossed an impressive Rs 329 crore in 45 days, proving once again that strong word-of-mouth and emotional connect can outshine raw star power. Over it's seventh weekend the film added Rs 40 lakh to it's collection. The film which released on 18th July had a splendid run in the first week from the second week onwards every week the film had to face new releases be it Ashwin Kumar’s mythological drama Mahavtar Narsimha or Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s Dhadak 2 to the biggest clash of Rajinikanth’s Coolie with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2. However, the film surprised everyone by delivering consistently across weekdays and weekends, showing remarkable hold even when faced with mammoth releases. What’s more impressive is the film’s stamina post the initial weeks. While most films crash after the third week, Saiyaara continued to bring in steady numbers. Even in its sixth week, it collected Rs 2.89 crore which was a minimal drop from fifth week’s collection of Rs 2.95 crore. The film looks primed to cross Rs 330 crore before it folds up it’s theatrical run and hit the OTT platform. Industry insiders attribute this success to Mohit Suri’s signature storytelling, blending soulful music with heartfelt romance.
Songs from the film became instant chartbusters, drawing younger audiences and couples to theatres. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s performance have been widely praised, with many critics calling them one of the most promising newcomers in recent times.
